What happens to your writing challenge when it is a weekend? – Goes for a toss!
So here I am to update Challenge of Day 2 and 3.
Saturday, Edi was at home so it was easy! Late brunch with movie and food followed by late lunch and Pizza for dinner. All the discipline was taken care off by him so I was left with my stitching. I noticed that I am not very loving when I am not on top of things. Need God’s help to change that. So day 2 went by with No beating and shouting.
Sunday, Dada preaching and Allie being whine-y! Agrrr! Sitting in the front row, how do you get a child who so wants her way out not disturb the gathering?! What a time to take the no shouting and no spanking challenge. I was loosing it. I was reminded so many times of the challenge that I had taken upon myself. This lead me to a strange realization – As I tried to talk to my daughter about her behavior and how she needs to change I realized that she is walking in the path of destruction that I can see but she has no clue of. I can see what this behavior of hers would lead to yet I have nothing to offer but counsel that she is walking the path of sin and pray that God would save her. Spanking would have caused her to do want I want her to do but her heart would still remain the same. Wicked. As this thought came in, I was filled with a sense of what it would be for God to see His children, willfully disobey Him and walk the path of Sin. destruction. Oh, how I was ashamed of myself, my sin and grateful for God’s providence, His son and my salvation! This lead me to pray earnestly for Allie’s salvation. Lord save her! She needs you!
End result, a glimpse of the Father’s heart, my sinful estate,His loving kindness,His mercy, His grace a grateful heart and an earnest prayer for my baby!
