August ended on a high note! Edi began studying Greek as a pre-requisite to seminary admission. God provided all the needed money for tuition and material for the whole year – $1615! We praised God for the provision. Edi begin his classes on the 24th.
September began with a concern. One of the medications that Lauren depends on had been recalled globally by the manufacturer back in July. By mid-August the supply was limited. As September began it was nearly impossible to find the medication in Mysore.
Thankfully, friends and family were praying for Lauren and were looking out for alternatives. They contacted near by drug stores, their families and friends who live in other cities etc. And we were able to get the medication in time before Lauren fully ran out. She should be good for a few more months.

In case you are not aware, Edi bakes Pizza on most Friday evenings. It is a tradition now. This month on one of the Fridays, Edi placed the pizza on the dining table and went back into the kitchen to get something. Mia took it upon herself to slice the pizza. No one was hurt. But take a look at her work.
She did suceed in getting a small little pizza slice!
Lauren's birthday
We travelled to Mangalore and spend time with Edi’s parents. This is the longest we have been away from home. We have come for three weeks here. We came here a few days before Lauren’s birthday and we will leave after we have celebrated Allie’s tenth birthday here.
Allie baked a cake for Lauren. The girls worked hard for over a month making gifts for their mama. The gifts included art, poetry and kind words.
Here are some pictures.
We are having a decent time in Mangalore. The kids get schooled through the morning. They get to go play in the large space once they are done with their school and chores.
Mia has learned to use the swing unassisted. She loves the independence.
Since it is rainy season, water is heated using traditional fire. We used the opportunity to prepare some ‘baingan ka bharta’
Also free time is spent over a game of sequence.
We are thankful for the month that September 2020 has been.
